I’m really excited to be working with two inspirational women with such integrity and forsight into our communities clothing desires. Maria Tabia and Jen Fritz are the co-creators of the local San Francisco company Warrior Within Designs.

You can find their story of starting Warrior Within Designs at warriorwithindesigns.com and Shakti Sunfire’s blog about them on elephantjournal.com.
Warrior Within is best known for their absolutely sexy, cute, playful and fun Onesies that many hoopers have already picked up on and are in love with.

Soon you will find a custom Onyx Onesie especially styled and signed by Onyx for your darker more sensuous side where ever you find Onyx’s Closet. They are a great option to add underneath Onyx adornments and especially Onyx Coats!

Right now though Miss Rosie and I will be grand premiering Onesie’s to hoopers nation wide on our Tour De Hoop starting right after Hoop Camp (and yes, we WILL have Onesie’s with us at Hoop Camp for those of you who just can’t wait! See you soon)

you rock my world!

The first time I saw this designer’s work (Designer in Chief, Andrea Spratt) atHarmony Festival a year ago I’ve wanted one of everything they sell. To me it’s pure comfortable luxury and absolutely fits the description they give in their biography as “elegant, yet whimsical”. With soft, comfortable, flowing fabrics, a focus on cut, options of layering and a sophisticated color pallet, their pure concept of style breaths through every piece they make.

Not only are they one of my favorite companies but they were also a huge inspiration to me as the Artistic Director of the Hoop Technique DVD…

One of the first things I knew when Rich and I sat down to conceptualize the hooping DVD we wanted to make and he asked if I would be the artistic director of it (see my profile here) I knew exactly what kind of style I saw him (and later Spiral) in. One of the first thing I gave them were these images as the inspiration for their wardrobes (the first three of which were Kucoon’s designs)…

Coincidently, Spiral knew the designer, Andrea, who invited them down to the Kucoon warehouse in LA where she helped them find some amazing clothing for the DVD. Spiral wore Kucoon pants in all instructional parts of the DVD and they both wore their black and silver striped pants their performance shoot. I can’t wait for the release of the DVD!!
